Gharana — lineage, household, inherited craft
A name for the things a family passes down. For us, that starts with the oil in the kitchen.
The taste of home, without the compromise
Not long ago, the family’s oil came from the village ghani. You took your own groundnuts, mustard or til to be pressed, and the oil smelled of the seed it came from. It gave tadka and sabzi the flavour we still look for.
Today most of what fills the shelves is refined — pale, neutral and made for long supply chains, not for a gharana kitchen. We wanted the oil we grew up with, made properly, and easy to get again.
So Gharana Oils is simple: oils pressed the kachi ghani way from whole seeds, carefully filtered, and bottled with nothing added.
“Pressed slowly. Filtered carefully. Made for the everyday Indian kitchen — from tadka and sabzi to frying, achaar and family meals.”
Nothing to hide
Our label is designed to be read. One ingredient — groundnut (peanut) oil. Clear allergy advice. Origin, storage and batch information on every bottle.
The design borrows from the homes that inspired it: ivory paper, deep green, brass, a quiet jali pattern — and a lower panel that takes the colour of the oil inside.
